My name is Prisma Martinez, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #111896. I am a Mexican-Immigrant First-Genration-Cycle Breaker who is proud to serve our multicultural community.
I am passionate about my role in helping children, teens, adults, and parents find peace in their world. In therapy, I help guide your individual healing process in a safe, respectful, and compassionate space that empowers your true authentic self. I use an empathetic approach to support your way in making sense of the struggles that come with unforeseen life and parenthood experiences.
Growing up under the eyes of trauma gave me a powerful narrative to first-hand understand the strength and effort it takes to break away from the chains that bind you, allowing me to be a strong advocate for those who are trying to find their voice.

Education and Professional Background
I received my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University, Los Angeles and my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from California State University, Los Angeles.
My years of experience in the clinical field have provided me with the tools to support children, families, and individuals trying to break away from depression, anxiety, loss and grief, stress, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, family conflict, parenting challenges, acculturation, life transitions, and among many others.
In efforts to do my best to support you in your journey, I have taken the time to learn and be trained by industry leaders in evidenced-based practices that support your growth and healing journey.
In addition, I hold several child development certifications that help me support and educate parents, caregivers, and professionals on fetal, infant, toddler, and preschool development. As a certified Instructor and Educator of Infant Massage, I provide individual and group classes that cultivate a positive and secure attachment between parent/caregiver and baby.
